Have you had the chance to check out the 2008 Belgian thriller LOFT? Care to see it again, only this time in English an with a more recognizable cast? Good for you, because the original movie’s director Erik Van Looy has prepared an English-language remake of his own flick, now known as THE LOFT. While the general idea of remaking a movie just because some people can’t handle subtitles seems somewhat goofy to me, perhaps this time there’s a little more to it than that. In any case, you can check out the trailer below.
THE LOFT follows five married friends who decide to rent a loft together where they can bring their mistresses. When the body of an unknown woman is found in the loft, they realize that they don’t know each other as well as they thought and begin to suspect one another of murder.
The movie stars Wentworth Miller, Karl Urban, James Marsden, Rhona Mitra (below), Eric Stonestreet, Rachael Taylor and Isabel Lucas. The film is set to premiere sometime this year.
