Graham Skipper's Sequence Break coming to Shudder this month

Sequence Break Graham Skipper Chase Williamson

Just under two years ago, we learned that actor Graham Skipper, who has appeared in a whole lot of horror films over the last few years, would be writing and directing a mind-bending feature called SEQUENCE BREAK. After making the festival rounds for a while, that film is now about to be released through the Shudder streaming service, and the folks over at Rue Morgue have revealed that SEQUENCE BREAK will be making its Shudder debut on May 24th.

The film will be available for viewing through Shudder in the US, Canada, the UK, and Ireland.

Starring Chase Williamson and Fabianne Therese, SEQUENCE BREAK sounds somewhat reminiscent of eXistenZ in that it "combines Cronenbergian body horror with video game mania". The story centers on

Oz, a reclusive video arcade repair technician whose world is turned upside down when he learns his beloved repair shop is being forced to close and he has a chance meeting with the beautiful and enigmatic Tess, with whom he shares an intense and unexplainable bond. When a mysterious new arcade unit arrives at the shop, reality itself threatens to fracture as Oz encounters hallucinations and bizarre biomechanical mutations that take him to the brink of sanity while he works to uncover the origins of the strange device.

Skipper produced the film with Lyle Kanouse and Audrey Wasilewski. Kanouse and Wasilewski are also in the film's cast.

A trailer for SEQUENCE BREAK can be seen below. Check it and decide if you want to watch the full film when it arrives on Shudder in just a few weeks.

Skipper can currently be seen in another Shudder release, Ryuhei Kitamura's DOWNRANGE
