Guillermo del Toro’s The Strain goes behind-the-scenes with a new featurette

Today, we go behind-the-scenes of Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan’s new FX series “The Strain” with an all new featurette that takes a deeper look into the world of the new vampire series. The latest look at FX's highly anticipated new series gives us a fantastic peek at the show as the actors and del Toro himself dish on bringing it to life and what we can expect as the story unfolds. My favorite part of this featurette is when Kevin Durand, who plays Vasiliy Fet, assures us that there will not be any romantic connections with the vampires, instead there will be pure horror just like it should be!

The show begins on July 13th.

The Strain is a high-concept thriller that tells the story of Dr. Ephraim Goodweather (Stoll), the head of the Center for Disease Control Canary Team in New York City. He and his team are called upon to investigate a mysterious viral outbreak with hallmarks of an ancient and evil strain of vampirism. As the strain spreads, Eph, his team, and an assembly of everyday New Yorkers wage war for the fate of humanity itself.

"The Strain" stars Corey Stoll, Mia Maestro, Sean Astin, Roger Cross, Leslie Hope, Regina King, Robert Maillet, Lauren Lee Smith, Miguel Gomez, Kevin Durand, David Bradley, and Richard Sammel.
