Halloween Horror Nights

08.29.2008by: Jared Pacheco

A few days ago we got an email officially kickstarting this year's HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS. I'm sure most remember last year's HORROR NIGHTS. Universal Studies plugged it all over the place with the gorgeous mugs of Jason, Freddy, and Mr. Face.

Well it looks like the three musketeers are once again headlining the marketing this year, with Freddy leading the way! "Live Your Worst Nightmare." The attraction begins Friday, October 3. Purchase your tickets NOW!

The website offers this description: Get ready to live your worst nightmare because for the first time ever, Freddy Krueger’s loose on the Backlot, and there’s no escaping him.

Face him on the all-new Nightmare on the Backlot, and then revisit Freddy in his own, all-new Nightmare on Elm Street maze. If you’re lucky enough to survive it, you’ll be ready to take on Leatherface and Jason, each in their own horrific mazes.

Plus there’s a new scare zone based on the hit movie, “The Strangers” and an all-new Bill & Ted’s Halloween Adventure.

Wait a minute... Freddy, Jason, Leatherface, The Strangers... and BILL AND TED?! Could this be the greatest thing ever? This is definately worth checking out. In case your not intrigued yet, head on over to ShockTillYouDrop to read an interview with HORROR NIGHTS' Creative Director John Murdy on what we can expect from HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS, going into mouth-watering detail with some of the descriptions.

So if it's possible for you to drop on over to Universal Studios Hollywood sometime in October, it definately looks worth it! October 3!

Absolutely agree with Trendkill. I've gone twice in the past three years, and the second time we made it into one house because the waits were so long. And the mobs of people were so bad, it sometimes took 25 minutes to walk over a bridge.

They definitely need to regroup and reorganize this thing before I spend that much money for such little excitement.

I live in Orlando, and I havent missed this event once since it first started close to 20 years ago. Ive even worked there a few times as a scaractor (which can be the funnest thing ever). However its getting worse every year, because theres too many damn people that go to it, you wait in line for 2 hours for one 5 minute house. I love the houses, and it used to be so damn fun. The freddy, jason, and leatherface houses were cool last year (actually some were alot better then others). However

However who wants to spend 50 plus dollars to stand in line for 80% of the time....I sure as fuck dont want to anymore. The theme is very tempting, but I dont want to waste time and money again. I wish the event was more local and less crowded like it used to be 5-10 years ago, expecially with an awesome theme like this. Makes me wanna cry...haha
