Has Machete Kills been pushed back a week?

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last month we learned that Robert Rodriguez's MACHETE KILLS had been pushed back from its originally scheduled September 11 2013 release date to a few weeks later, landing on October 4. But upon checking out the MACHETE KILLS Facebook page we were greeted with this header:

Looks familiar, right? But upon closer inspection…

Wait…what?

It seems that MACHETE KILLS may be killing at a later date yet again, pushed back one week to October 11.

We haven't heard confirmation of this from Open Road Films, nor can we find any announcement that the date has shifted again at the films' Facebook or Twitter pages, but there it is…right at the top of their Facebook page. October 11th. Guess we'll wait to hear if this is official.

MACHETE KILLS finds the titular ex-federale (Trejo) recruited by the U.S. government to stop a terrorist named Mendez the Madman, who happens to be Mexico’s leading cartel dealer.

MACHETE KILLS stars Danny Trejo, Michelle Rodriguez, Sofia Vergara, Amber Heard, Charlie Sheen (aka Carlos Estevez), Lady Gaga, Antonio Banderas, Jessica Alba, Demián Bichir, Alexa Vega, Vanessa Hudgens, Cuba Gooding, Jr., William Sadler, Marko Zaror and Mel Gibson.
