Has the plot of Tarantino’s new Sharon Tate film just been revealed?

Last week we let you guys know that Quentin Tarantino's next movie has found its new studio home after ditching the Weinstein company. Tarantino's ninth film – we'll just call it #9 – will be produced by Sony.

On top of that news, we learned Tarantino wants Margot Robbie for the role of Tate and is also considering roles for the likes of Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, and Leonardo DiCaprio.

Today we have our first idea of what the plot of the film maybe by way of an article posted on Vanity Fair.

Plot rundown via Vanity Fair:

Set in Los Angeles in the summer of 1969, Tarantino’s upcoming movie, according to a source who read the script, focuses on a male TV actor who’s had one hit series and his looking for a way to get into the film business. His sidekick—who’s also his stunt double—is looking for the same thing. The horrific murder of Sharon Tate and four of her friends by Charles Manson’s cult of followers serves as a backdrop to the main story.

This all sounds about right to me, especially considering this would free Tarantino to bring in Zoe Bell again in some fashion. Not that, you know, the guy wasn't already planning on that anyhow.

Possibly even a young Stuntman Mike…?

How excited are you for Quentin Tarantino's #9? Does this plot sound correct to you? Make sure to hit us up and let us know in the new comments section below or on social media!

Tarantino's #9 is expected to start shooting in LA this June.
