DON'T BREATHE, the upcoming thriller from EVIL DEAD director Fede Alvarez, is only his second film, so he has a lot to prove. It's also his first feature not based on a previous project, so we're going to get the opportunity to see him flex his muscles outside of Sam Raimi's universe. I for one can't wait to see what he does with his new project. 

This new image from the project (depicting a girl hiding and hopefully not breathing) doesn't give much away, but it's a little taste of what you can come to expect from DON'T BREATHE. Check it out below!

Three teens who get away with perfectly planned home robberies have set their sights on one last payout that will get them out of crime forever. Their target: a reclusive blind man with millions of dollars in hiding. But as soon as they break into his home, the tables are turned and they find themselves trapped and fighting for survival against a psychopath with secrets of his own.

The three teens are played by Jane Levy (EVIL DEAD), Daniel Zovatto (IT FOLLOWS), and Dylan Minnette (GOOSEBUMPS). The blind guy is played by AVATAR's Stephen Lang. 

Screen Gems will be releasing DON'T BREATHE on August 26th, so don't hold your breath. You've got a little bit of time to wait.
