Horror & baseball mix in upcoming graphic novel adaptation Sullivan’s Sluggers

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

You guys ever hear of a graphic novel called SULLIVAN’S SLUGGERS? Me either. Don’t fret though, I’m here to tell you all about it!

Word coming in from The Hollywood Reporter’s Heat Vision blog has Broken Road Productions’ Todd Garner teaming with Terra Firma Films’ Adam Herz and Joshua Shader to bring us a big screen adaptation of SULLIVAN’S SLUGGERS.

The horror/baseball graphic novel comes from Mark Andrew Smith and James Stokoe. It reads a little something like this:

Sluggers follows a has-been baseball manager Casey Sullivan and his dysfunctional minor league Sluggers who get an invitation to play a small venue game. Soon enough, they find themselves fighting for their lives against a town of shape-shifting monsters on a feeding frenzy and the has-beens and wannabes must use long-forgotten skills of teamwork to get out alive.

Tom and Tim Mullen have already been tapped to whip up a script for this bad larry so it looks like things are moving relatively fast on SULLIVAN’S SLUGGERS. Oric Scott De Las Casas and Sean Robins will also be producing.

No word on when things will get rolling on SULLIVAN’S SLUGGERS but my guess is we’ll know more once that script is finished. In the meantime why don’t you spit some bullets below and let us know if you’re jiving with this one!
