We still have a year or so left before we find out if the Tales from the Crypt revamp series is going to be any good. In the meantime, it doesn't hurt to go back and rediscover the original series, and remind yourself how... okay it was as a whole. Let's face it, while some of the Crypt Keeper's stories were certifiably great, not every one of them was a zinger. Unfortunately, this was especially apparent in both feature-length films, which were meant to be two thirds of a trilogy that was never completed due to box office failure. Most have become aware of BORDELLO OF BLOOD (1996), if only for its terrible acting and/or naked ladies. However, the first movie, DEMON KNIGHT, seems to get swept under the rug a lot. By no means is DEMON KNIGHT a great film, but it does feature arguably better talent, including Thomas Hayden Church, William Sadler, Dick Miller and Billy Zane (okay, "talent" may be a generous term for that last one). It's sure better than watching Dennis Miller try to be a leading man, or Corey Feldman try to do anything. Besides, DEMON KNIGHT proves that you don't need brothels as an excuse to show T&A in a HBO-produced film. Brenda Bakke, Peggy Trentini, Tina Hollimon, Chasey Lain and more made that perfectly clear, as you'll see in today's NSFW clip! Just click that image below to experience the joy, boils and ghouls!
