Well folks I've told you before how big of a project SCREAM 4 is and how we'd be coming at you with every little update regarding the project. And that's exactly why I'm here today!

So what's the exciting news I have for you?! It's been confirmed via the DeepsaidWhat blog that Woodworth Middle School (below) of Dearborn, Michigan will be featured in the film via flashback sequences. Wow, this is really news? I guess people are really looking forward to SCREAM 4 huh?

To be fair I'm pretty sure the 'news' bit here would fall under the revelation that we'll be treated to flashback sequences from and/or involving the previous installments of the franchise. Now that would be something to get excited about folks! It's no secret Kevin Williamson, Wes Craven and all those involved are planning a new trilogy for the SCREAM franchise... So personally, one of my biggest concerns was that this new trio of flicks would alienate themselves from the original set. I'm sure I'm not the only one worried about that either. Needless to say I'm glad Williamson and Craven will be tieing the past into this new one. Hell I hope it's a big part of it!

So what do you guys think? Are you glad SCREAM 4 will be treading back into the territory we fell in love with throughout the 90s? The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, Rory Culkin, Lake Bell, Hayden Panettiere, Lauren Graham and Nico Tortorella. It'll start filming later his month in Ann Arbor with an April 15, 2011 release date already pegged.

Definitely sounds like good news. Its been 10 years since the last films we need some flashbacks to relate back to the originals.

Biggest shocker of the series? Mrs. Loomis I'd say. Totally caught me by surprise.

Some more revelations coming to the light?

I was completely impressed by how Craven linked Roman to Loomis and Stu. More will probably be revealed regarding Sidney's mother.

Forgot how much 'talent' was used for Scream 2. Anyways, not surprising they are using the original school for the new trilogy. No better way to pay homage than to film at one of the principle locations from the originals.
