So it seems two huge names have signed on to star in the film! Ha... I'm kidding, it's a couple more unknowns. Gary Ross and company must have a lot of faith in these people to be casting them in such a big film. Here's hoping it works out for the best!
According to The Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blogs the latest names to join the gigantic cast are Nelson Ascencio and Kimiko Gelman. The duo sign on as 'Flavius' and 'Venia' respectively, members of Katniss’ prep team.
THE HUNGER GAMES takes place every year in the ruins of what was once North America, as the nation of Panem forces each of its twelve districts to send a teenage boy and girl to compete in the Hunger Games. Part twisted entertainment, part government intimidation tactic, the Hunger Games are a nationally televised event in which “Tributes” must fight with one another until one survivor remains. Pitted against highly-trained Tributes who have prepared for these Games their entire lives, Katniss is forced to rely upon her sharp instincts as well as the mentorship of drunken former victor Haymitch Abernathy. If she’s ever to return home to District 12, Katniss must make impossible choices in the arena that weigh survival against humanity and life against love.
As if you needed to see this cast list again, Ascencio (above) and Gelman (below) join Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Stanley Tucci, Woody Harrelson, Elizabeth Banks, Paula Malcolmson, Willow Shields, Wes Bentley, lenny Kravitz, Toby Jones, Latarsha Rose, Brooke Bundy, Amber Chaney, Alexander Ludwig, Isabelle Fuhrman, Sam Ly, Leigha Hancock, Samuel Tan, Mackenzie Lintz, Imanol Yepez-Frias, Annie Thurman, Leven Rambin, Jack Quaid, Ian Nelson, Kalia Prescott, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Ethan Jamieson, Tara Macken, Ashton Moio, Kara Petersen, Chris Mark and Jacqueline Emerson.
THE HUNGER GAMES hits theaters on March 23, 2012.
