I Spit On Your Grave remake gets slapped with an expected R rating by the MPAA

Jun. 10, 2010by: Ammon Gilbert

With this mornings disappointing news of JONAH HEX being rated PG-13 (check that noise HERE), it brings a slight smile to my face to report that an upcoming horror flick will, in fact, be rated R for your viewing pleasure.

The remake of I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE was slapped with a (surprisingly) R rating for pervasive strong sadistic brutal violence, rape and torture, nudity and language.

Because if all that wasn't enough, there's language to consider. For a flick like this, you'd think a simple "this movie is f*cked up" would suffice, but breaking it out in the nitty-gritty is kinda cool anyway. At least this way parents know exactly what they're getting into when they bring their kids to a movie like this.

I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE stars Sarah Butler (below), Daniel Franzese, Chad Lindberg, Rodney Eastman, and Andrew Howard, and is set to be released in theaters at an unspecified date later this Fall.

Extra Tidbit: If this was slapped with a PG-13, they'd have to rename it I SPIT ON THIS MOVIE, because you'd know it'd be a pile of steaming donkey shit.

As for the rating, beautiful, because the best part of this article is Gilbert's spilled blood. As for the rape, I have to agree with Bond. Yes, you are a hypocrite. :) Nah, I'm kidding. There's a huge difference between the gore/violence we see in movies and rape IN ANY FORM, in that the gore is 9 times out of 10 inimitable, and is the kind of tramatic thing that the victim won't have to live with. I honestly have no words to express the [link] I feel for rape victims.

Rating is fine but I am so against this stupid remake, boo! The original is something on its own, its hard for people to understand it, and I got a feeling the makers of this don't get it either.

Well I'll never watch this anyway, I love me my horror movies but rape is a big no no, that ain't entertainment especially when you know someone it happened to. And yes I'm well aware I'm a hypocrite for liking gore/violence but not rape.

yeah rape isnt real big on my watch list either. violence in movies is usually so over the top that you will never be able to relate. I've known people in my life who have been victims of rape. Not saying im touchy about the subject, but it hits a little too close to home. too grounded in reality, which makes it not very fun to watch. I'll propably be avoiding this one too.

Good glad to hear it's not just me, I agree with everything you said there. Not a spectator sport.
