Back in February, IFC Midnight snagged the U.S. rights to director Anthony Scott Burns’ feature debut OUR HOUSE with plans to release the film this summer. I'm looking forward to checking out the film, especially considering it stars Thomas Mann (KONG: SKULL ISLAND) and Nicola Peltz (BATES MOTEL) and today we have word on just when we'll be able to peep this new supernatural suspense thriller.
IFC Midnight will be unleashing the flick to the masses come July 27, 2018. It's produced by Lee Kim, Martin Katz, Ulf Israel and Karen Wookey. Executive producers are John Davis, Nick Spicer, Kyle Franke, Derek Dauchy, Noah Segal, Adrian Love, David Kehrl and Reik Moller.
The film is written by Nathan Parker and follows
The story of a young genius who accidentally invents a device that amplifies the paranormal activity within his family’s house, possibly bringing back the spirits of loved ones — and unleashing things that are far worse.
That's one hell of a winning synopsis if I've ever heard one. The idea of a young genius basically sciencing the shit out of his house and thus CAUSING it to become haunted is cool as hell. The premise itself is loaded with potential good times and I trust IFC Midnight's judgment on horror films by this point anyhow. Bring it on, I say!
