10.18.2012by: Eric Walkuski

Grand Entertainment Group, a newly founded independent multi-platform content and distribution company based in Los Angeles will release the independent horror-comedy THE SELLING in just a week, it was recently reported. We last wrote about the flick in June.

When Richard Scarry, a too honest for his own good real estate agent, discovers the house he's invested in to raise money for his mother's hospital bills is haunted he learns how scary the housing market really is. With the aid of his best friend who refuses to go inside, an exorcist who loves craftsman style architecture, and an eccentric ghost rights activist/blogger waitress, Richard gamely tries to get rid of the house and/or its ghostly inhabitants before it's too late. But when an evil spirit decides to move out of the house and into his body, Richard discovers he has a whole new set of possession problems.

THE SELLING, written and produced by Gabriel Diani ("Research"), stars Janet Varney ("Judy Moody and the Not Bummer Summer", Nickelodeon's "Legend of Korra"), Barry Bostwick ("The Rocky Horror Picture Show", "Spin City"), Simon Helberg ("The Big Bang Theory"), Jonathan Klein ("Hotel for Dogs"), Etta Devine ("Mary Olson") and Nancy Lenehan ("A Better Life").

THE SELLING will be available on DVD from Grand Entertainment Group and On Demand, from GoDigital on October 23rd. The DVD will include bonus features with commentary from the director, Emily Lou, and screenwriter and star Gabriel Diani, and short videos featuring Gabriel Diani, Barry Bostwick, Etta Devine, Simon Helberg and Vincent Price's disembodied head.
