When Chris Carter is involved in a project, he really dedicates himself to it. From “The X-Files” to the underrated “Millennium”, he has a tendency to take the odd journey as opposed to the simple one. So it is no surprise that with X-FILES: I WANT TO BELIEVE, he takes a different journey than most will expect. I personally enjoyed the experience. It reminded me of why I originally enjoyed the further adventures of Scully and Mulder.
When I got to talk face to face with the man, I was happy to find that he really is very pleasant. He had his dog sitting next to him when I walked in and for some reason, I thought that to be kind of cool. Although his dog does not appear on camera, Chris does and he discusses the latest film as well as we can… after all, this was on a Saturday, less than a week before release. But I did get to bring up my all-time favorite episode with him. “Home” is one of the most satisfying hours I’ve ever spent watching television. And now, this coming Friday, you can find out if you want to believe with the latest X-File.
