Interview: Mama star Nicolaj Coster-Waldau

On January 18th, Guillermo del Toro presents MAMA, a supernatural thriller that tells the haunting tale of two little girls who disappeared into the woods the day that their parents were killed. When they are rescued years later and begin a new life, they find that someone or something still wants to come tuck them in at night.

Though he has a distinguished acting career dating back to the early 90s, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau is most recognizable right now as Jamie “The Kingslayer” Lannister on HBO’s “Game of Thrones”; playing a nefarious warrior, Coster-Waldau is often seen performing a number of heinous sins each and every episode. In MAMA, the Danish actor does double duty as twins; one a disturbed man at the very end of his rope, the other a brother who finds himself picking up the pieces of a corrupted family. It was my pleasure to speak with the actor about his latest turn.
