Whether you’re a fan of MACHETE or not there’s no denying the flick packed one hell of a cast. And if Deadline New York is to be believed Robert Rodriguez is trying to do it once again!
You see according to the site Rodriguez is out after a couple names you would probably never imagine in MACHETE KILLS: Mel Gibson and Michelle Williams?! That’s right people. Mel f*cking Gibson and Michelle Williams (below)! I don’t know about you guys but my gut is telling me casting these two would be AWESOME! Here’s hoping Deadline’s source is a solid one.
The new film finds Machete recruited by the U.S. Government for a mission which would be impossible for any mortal man. Machete must battle his way through Mexico to take down a madman cartel leader and an eccentric billionaire arms dealer who has hatched a plan to spread war across the planet with a weapon in space. Machete takes on an army in an effort to dismantle a plan for global anarchy.
Mind you this news is only a ‘I heard’ piece of info so take it with a grain of salt. MACHETE KILLS is set to start production this month though with Danny Trejo once again front and center so hopefully more solid news on this one spills our way sooner rather than later.
