Freakish, the horror series from Awesomeness TV that will be streaming exclusively on Hulu has dropped a brand new teaser ahead of its premiere on Monday. This is definitely a show for milennial horror fans, given its cast packed with social media stars most of us have never heard of, but it looks like a fun high school update of The Walking Dead for the Internet generation. Created by Beth Szymkowski, Freakish centers on:
a group of students at a small-town high school who must fight for survival when predatory mutant freaks take over after a meltdown at the local chemical plant.
Chad Michael Collins, Leo Howard, Liza Koshy, Adam Hicks, Aislinn Paul, Meghan Rienks, Melvin Gregg, Hayes Grier, Mary Mouser, Chachi Gonzales, Chad L. Coleman, and Tyler Chase star.
Szymkowski wrote the pilot episode, which was directed by Chris Grismer. They are both executive producing the show with Brian Robbins, Shelley Zimmerman, and Matt Lewis. Scott Levine is producing.
Freakish will premiere all ten episodes of its first season on October 10th.
