James Wan brings Barbara Hershey back for Insidious 2

Looks like Grandma Lambert doesn’t scare too easily…

Deadline.com reports that Barbara Hershey is coming back to the family in the sequel, which is currently being prepped by the team of James Wan and Leigh Whannell.

Hershey joins returning castmembers Patrick Wilson (who plays Hershey’s son) and Rose Byrne. Also being brought back are Whannell and Angus Sampson as ghost-hunters Specs and Tucker.

Still no word on what’s going on plot-wise in INSIDIOUS CHAPTER 2, but obviously it’s a direct follow-up to the first installment, a surprise box office success. The chiller has an August 30, 2013 release in the cards; and will be distributed by Film District.
