James Wan’s The Conjuring sequel haunts a new summer 2016 release date

Following last month's news that the sequel to 2013's THE CONJURING had not only shifted its release date to 2016, but will also see the return of James Wan to the director's chair, we've now learned exactly when we can expect the see THE CONJURING 2 arrive in theaters as the film has landed a Summer 2016 release date.

New Line and Warner Bros. have set a June 10, 2016 release date for THE CONJURING 2, which will continue the creepy cinematic adventures of paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga). The new tale of the Warren family is currently being penned by Carey and Chad Hayes.

The original THE CONJURING was a breakout hit for New Line in 2013 and spawned the spin-off ANNABELLE (directed by John Leonetti), which was released in theaters last month.
