Jamie Foxx ‘aggressively pursuing’ Spawn reboot

Back in February we reported that SPAWN creator Todd McFarlane had been in talks with an Academy Award-winning actor for his long awaited live action reboot of his comic creation, and now we know who that actor was: DJANGO UNCHAINED star Jamie Foxx!

Foxx recently sat down with Movies.com to talk about his first appearance in a superhero movie as the villain Electro in next summers THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 and mentioned a couple of projects he is trying to make happen, stating…

"Spawn is one, yeah. And Mike Tyson. Those are two roles I would just love to do. I'm aggressively pursuing them."

So there you have it! Jamie Foxx wants to do SPAWN, so c'mon Hollywood…make it happen! I think Foxx could most certainly do the character justice. And, as a sidenote, the actor is almost perfect for an Iron Mike biopic.
