Jamie Foxx’s horror anthology for Syfy on hold

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Back in April, we let you in on the intriguing news that actor Jamie Foxx was supervising a horror anthology in the vein of “Tales from the Crypt” for the Syfy channel; the show was reportedly looking at an October debut, to coincide with Syfy’s 31 Days of Halloween. But it looks like we’ll have to wait a little longer.

Deadline is reporting that the untitled anthology is getting pushed back, thanks to Foxx’s busy schedule (he’s currently promoting WHITE HOUSE DOWN and shooting THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2). The show has not been given a premiere date, but because the Halloween season makes so much sense for it, it could end up being postponed until October 2014.

Thankfully, the project has not been cancelled outright; Foxx is apparently going to be sitting down with Syfy soon to discuss where to go from here. As far as we know, no other names are attached to the series.
