Jamie Lee Curtis up for Blumhouse’s Halloween 2 under one condition

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

It was just yesterday that we passed along the news that Blumhouse and director David Gordon Green's direct sequel to John Carpenter's HALLOWEEN will be hitting IMAX theaters for one week starting today. And if that wasn't cool enough, we also brought you word that Danny McBride and Gordon Green have been asked to start developing ideas for Blumhouse's HALLOWEEN 2 (or whatever they plan on calling it).

But how does Mrs. Jamie Lee Curtis feel about returning to the iconic role of Laurie Strode once again for yet another go at Michael Myers and the HALLOWEEN franchise? Well, it turns out the scream queen supreme is all for it… as long as director David Gordon Green returns.

Jamie Lee Curtis told Empire Magazine:

If David Gordon Green called me up and said let’s do another Halloween, I would do another Halloween. If David called and asked me to do another Halloween, I would do it.

Directed by David Gordon Green and written by Green, Jeff Fradley, and Danny McBride, Blumhouse's HALLOWEEN follows this synopsis:

It's been 40 years since Laurie Strode survived a vicious attack from crazed killer Michael Myers on Halloween night. Locked up in an institution, Myers manages to escape when his bus transfer goes horribly wrong. Laurie now faces a terrifying showdown when the masked madman returns to Haddonfield, Ill. — but this time, she's ready for him.

The new direct sequel stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner with stuntman James Jude Courtney and, of course, original The Shape-star Nick Castle as Michael Myers. HALLOWEEN is now playing at a theater near you and starts playing for one week in an IMAX near you starting today!
