Jeepers 3 still on

It has been a long while since we’ve heard any news on the JEEPERS CREEPERS 3 front – in fact, seems as though it’s been well over a year. And while there still isn’t a whole lot happening on that front, we may have moved – crawled, really – a tad closer to seeing more of the Creeper’s head-snatching shenanigans.

Dread Central caught up with JC director Victor Salva and inquired about the status of the project: “The financing is just coming together, so perhaps we will be in preproduction shortly. We have been saying this for a year now, but that’s really about all I can with any certainty.”

He adds: “We have decided that the third film should, like one and two, be different from each other in look and locale.”

Salva goes on to say that they’ve taken to calling it JEEPERS THREEPERS, which is just awesome. That should definitely be the title; unfortunately it seems like it will instead go by JEEPERS CREEPERS: CATHEDRAL, which doesn’t do anything for me. Then again, the JEEPERS films have yet to do a whole lot for me so far, so maybe I’m the wrong guy to ask about this franchise.
