Jeffrey Wright set to electrify Hunger Games: Cathing Fire as Beetee

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Only because I truly respect his talents as an actor do I feel the need to alert of you Jeffrey Wright’s addition to THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE. After-all, I’m sure we’re all sick of the ancillary casting news for this sumbitch…

Ancillary Wrights’ talents are not, and he’ll apparently lend them toward the character of Beetee in CATCHING FIRE. Hailing from District 3, Beetee earns the nickname “Volts” because of his electronics expertise.

Could you call a dude “Volts” with a straight face?

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE begins as Katniss Everdeen has returned home safe after winning the 74th Annual Hunger Games along with fellow tribute Peeta Mellark. Winning means that they must turn around and leave their family and close friends, embarking on a “Victor’s Tour” of the districts. Along the way Katniss senses that a rebellion is simmering, but the Capitol is still very much in control as President Snow prepares the 75th Annual Hunger Games (The Quarter Quell) – a competition that could change Panem forever.

THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE will be directed by Francis Lawrence, and produced by Nina Jacobson’s Color Force in tandem with producer Jon Kilik. It’s due Thanksgiving 2013, and will also star Jennifer Lawrence, Alan Ritchson, Bruno Gunn, Maria Howell, E. Roger Mitchell, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks (below) and Woody Harrelson.
