Jessica Biel offered one of two female leads in Total Recall remake

So, will it be the Sharon Stone or Rachel Ticotin role from the original?

Variety is reporting that the stunning Jessica Biel has been offered a role opposite Colin Farrell in the TOTAL RECALL rehash, although which of the two female leads she courted for is currently uncertain. As you know, the two prominent female leads include Lori, Quaid’s deceptive wife, and Melina, romanticist extraordinaire.

While Biel had apparently been reading for the role of Melina, competing with Paula Patton, Eva Green and Eva Mendes, she could have just as easily locked the role of Lori, which saw Kate Bosworth, Diane Kruger and again Eva Mendes trying out for the part. Whatever the case, director Len Wiseman certainly knows a thing or two about gorgeous leading women (dude’s married to Kate Beckinsale).

As we reported about a week ago, the badass Brian Cranston has been cast as the villainous Vilos Cohaagen, in a new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn’t know for which side. James Vanderbilt is adapting the script.

TOTAL RECALL opens August 3rd, 2012.
