Try as you might, you can’t kill the boogeyman. Michael Myers' legacy has survived two series reboots, the Cult of the Thorn, Busta Rhymes, 90s teeny bopper post-modernism and Rob Zombie’s remake. How, you may be wondering? Because John Carpenter’s HALLOWEEN is that f*cking good. Like PSYCHO or TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, it's an achievement not just in genre filmmaking, but within the context of motion pictures in general. Before I continue this fanboy spiel, let's cut to the chase-- this October 25th, HALLOWEEN arrives back in theaters.

The film is being re-released by Screenvision. As an added bonus, the feature will be preceded by YOU CAN’T KILL THE BOOGEYMAN: 35 YEARS OF HALLOWEEN. The new documentary by Justin Beahm is "focusing on the undeniable impact the film (and series) has had on culture and the genre."

Screenings are currently slated in Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Illinois Kansas Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Missouri, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Virginia, Washington and Wisconsin. Check out Screenvision's list for locations near you. The roster is getting updated every day, so if there isn’t one listed for you neck of the woods, check back later. After all, everyone's entitled to one good scare…
