Josh Duhamel brings violence to Stephen King’s 11/22/63

When James Franco goes back in time to stop the assassination of JFK in Bad Robot's adaptation of the Stephen King novel 11/22/63, he's going to run into quite a bit of trouble. We already know that his character Jake Epping will have a dangerous rival played by T.R. Knight, and now another villainous character has been cast.

Josh Duhamel has joined the cast of 11/22/63 to fill the role of Frank Dunning, father of a character named Harry Dunning, who will be played by Jack Fulton as a child in the past and by Leon Rippy as an adult in modern times. Frank is described as

the rakish town butcher, a ladies' man with an effortless smile that everyone welcomes — except Jake, the only man who knows the full violence of which Frank is capable.

Although I haven't read all of 11/22/63, I have read through the section involving Frank Dunning, and he is a bad, bad man. I hope his scenes will be as effective on the screen as they were on the page.

Co-starring with the actors mentioned above are Sarah Gadon, Chris Cooper, Cherry Jones, Daniel Webber, George MacKay, and Lucy Fry.

The adaptation was written by Bridget Carpenter and will air on Hulu as a nine hour event series sometime in 2016.
