Jurassic Park 4 could come out within the next two years

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Are we all appropriately excited for another trip to JURASSIC PARK? Oh, I know, that third one was a real dud (and, come to think of it, so was much of the second one), but you probably still smile with delight and nostalgia when thinking about the first time you ventured to Steven Spielberg’s land of dinosaurs… and part of you still believes they can pull off another great film starring those toothy reptiles.

Universal recently hired the RISE OF THE PLANET OF THE APES screenwriting duo of Rick Jaffa and Amanda Silver to pen a new take on the JURASSIC universe, and now we’re hearing a wee bit more on the project. Collider recently sat down with producer Frank Marshall to talk about THE BOURNE LEGACY and they learned just a smidgen of info about its potential release.

“I would say that it will be on the screen within two years,” Marshall told the site; they’re likely aiming for a Summer 2014 release. The producer went on to say that it’s definitely a sequel, not a reboot or prequel.

He also added this: “…technology’s taken a leap now that we can really do some great things.” That in reference to what’s possible in the visual effects realm, although obviously the JP films have never had a problem making their creatures look impressive. It’s the human characters and story that have been troublesome…

More on JURASSIC PARK 4 as it comes in, which is hopefully very soon.
