Joe Lynch has aimed high when it comes to casting his latest film.

The WRONG TURN 2 helmer has set Kate Hudson to star in EVERLY, the suspense thriller that will be his next feature. Crime Scene Pictures partners Adam Ripp and Rob Paris are set to produce.

Hudson will play a down-on-her-luck woman, stuck in her apartment, who must fend off waves of assassins sent by her ex, a dangerous mob boss.

EVERLY, which was announced back in May of last year, will be officially unveiled to buyers at the Berlin Film Festival next week.

Lynch’s last film, THE KNIGHTS OF BADASSDON is still awaiting an official release date. He also directed a segment of the comic-horror anthology CHILLERAMA, which came out last fall.
