Kate Mara to star in Morgan, Ridley Scott’s son Luke to direct

Kate Mara, of “House of Cards” fame and Fantastic Four reboot fame, is attached to star in the sci-fi thriller MORGAN, which has Luke Scott (son of Ridley) on board to direct.

The acclaimed script by Seth Owen wound up on the 2014 Black List, the annual list of best unproduced screenplays. The story concerns…

…a corporate risk-management consultant who is summoned to a remote research lab to determine whether or not to terminate an at-risk artificial being.

Sounds like this might make an ideal companion piece to EX MACHINA.

Anya Taylor-Joy (pictured below), who was seen in the Sundance hit THE WITCH, is also reportedly in negotiations to star.

Ridley Scott will produce the film for his son, who makes his directorial debut on this flick. Luke’s siblings Jordan and Jake have directed features of their own, which truly makes this a family business.
