Greg McLean to direct blumhouse thriller 6 Miranda Dr., starring Kevin Bacon

There is no slowing down Jason Blum, is there? I'm starting to find it harder and harder to keep track of all the thrillers that are coming out of his Blumhouse banner, but that's not necessarily something to complain about! With that said, saddle up folks, we've got even more exciting news to throw your way with a new thriller on the horizon. THR reports that Kevin Bacon (above) will star in 6 MIRANDA DR., the latest micro-budget thriller being made by Jason Blum’s Blumhouse banner. Joining Kevin Bacon in the thriller will be Radha Mitchell (below) who is currently in negotiations to star.

I'm pretty pumped about this news, and it's always nice to see Mr. Kevin Bacon land a spot in the horror genre. One of my all time favorite guilty pleasures is James Wan's DEATH SENTENCE in which Kevin Bacon goes on a head-shaving murderous rampage of revenge. Unfortunately, it sounds like he'll be leaving the clippers at home for 6 MIRANDA DR. as he will be battling the supernatural instead!

6 MIRANDA DR. was written and will be directed by none other than WOLF CREEK helmer Greg McLean as it centers on…

a family that unwittingly brings a fear-feeding supernatural force with them when they return from a Grand Canyon vacation.

So it sounds like Bacon and McLean are on a mission to ruin family vacations forever. Cool, count me in!

Blum is producing along with Matt Kaplan from Chapter One Films. Robyn Marshall from Chapter One will co-produce. MIRANDA will shoot in LA in March.
