Kevin Smith’s Tusk gets a release date, starring Justin Long

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Kevin Smith announced today that his upcoming body horror film TUSK will hit theaters on September 19, 2014. That’s pretty soon, folks! I can’t wait to see how this film turns out, especially for how clown-shit insane it sounds. Luckily, we won’t be waiting long to catch a glimpse of the film itself as Smith will premiere the trailer at his Comic-Con panel. Hopefully a trailer will make its way online shortly after that.

For those of you lucky enough to be attending the Con, Kevin Smith and stars Genesis Rodriguez and Haley Joel Osment will reveal the official trailer for TUSK in Hall H as part of THE MUSK OF TUSK: AN EVENING WITH KEVIN SMITH on Friday, July 25 from 6:35pm – 8:05pm.

The synopsis:

TUSK is a modern-day monster movie that follows a journalist named Wallace (Long) who finds the story of a lifetime in Mr. Howe (Parks), a worldwide adventurer with amazing tales and a curious penchant for walruses.

One of the things I’m really interested in finding out about Smith's new film is how much of a horror movie it's actually going to be. Is it a straight up tale of terror like it sounds? Or will Smith bring his brand of twisted humor to it? Time will tell! Justin Long, Haley Joel Osment, Michael Parks and Genesis Rodriguez all star.
