L.A. Slasher will chop into DVD and VOD on December 8th

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

If you missed L.A. SLASHER during its limited theatrical run back in June, you might have lucked out, judging by the 3/10 review it received from our own JimmyO. However, if you're still interested in seeing it, you don't have very much longer to wait. Archstone Distribution will be releasing the film on DVD and VOD just one week from today, on December 8th.

Directed by Martin Owen, L.A. SLASHER tells the following story:

Incensed by the tabloid culture which celebrates it, the L.A. Slasher publicly abducts a series of reality TV stars, while the media and general public in turn begin to question if society is better off without them. A biting, social satire about reality TV and the glorification of people who are famous for simply being famous, "L.A. Slasher" explores why it has become acceptable and even admirable for people to become influential and wealthy based on no merit or talent – purely through notoriety achieved through shameful behavior.

The cast includes Dave Bautista, Danny Trejo, Mischa Barton, Eric Roberts, Drake Bell, Brooke Hogan, Tori Black, Marisa Lauren, Korrina Rico, Elizabeth Morris, and Abigail Wright, with a vocal performance by Andy Dick.

With a cast like that, it's a guarantee that I will be watching L.A. SLASHER at some point.

The DVD can be pre-ordered on Amazon at this link. Special features include a deleted scene and a commentary with the director, cinematographer Chase Bowman, and host Richard Trejo.
