Lance Henriksen, Dina Meyer, and A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 2: FREDDY'S REVENGE's Robert Russler star in the upcoming horror film THE UNWILLING, which delves into the question "What is your dying wish?"

Directed by Jonathan Heap from a screenplay he wrote with co-producer David Lipper, who also plays the lead character in the film, THE UNWILLING has the following synopsis:

David Harris is normal in almost every way, but has to fight through a crippling obsessive compulsive disorder, brought on by his abusive father during his childhood. His OCD forces him to repeat movements and phrases and confines him to the safety of his home. Following his father’s death, David’s estranged relatives arrive to hear the reading of the will in anticipation for their piece of the fortune. They are surprised by the delivery of a “Lovecraft” style antique box instead. The box takes hold of their inner most desires one by one and entices the dangerous behavior that ensues. Will they last through the night or be wishing they never gave into temptation?

Also in the cast are Levy Tran, Bree Williamson, Jake Thomas, and Austin Highsmith.

The trailer and poster art for THE UNWILLING can be seen below, and I'm interested in checking the film out when it's released. Henriksen and a Lovecraftian mystery box? That's enough to draw me in for a viewing.

Produced by Julia Verdin and co-produced by Philip Morton, THE UNWILLING is scheduled to receive a DVD, Blu-ray, and VOD release on May 1st.

If you'd like to purchase a copy of the film on disc, you can do so on Amazon.
