Latest promo for NBC’s Constantine, with Matt Ryan, hints at what’s coming

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Last week we brought you a good look at NBC's upcoming "Constantine" with the trailer for the series that was shown at San Diego Comic Con, and today we have another look at the Matt Ryan-starring show with the latest promo that hints at what's coming for our protagonist.

For those of you who still need to catch up on what’s going on with “Constantine”, a couple of weeks ago we saw Lucy Griffiths—who was supposed to be the female lead—leave the series after the creators opted to move in a different direction. Filling in her shoes will be Angelica Celaya, who will star as Zed, described as a character with 'a very dark past'.

Constantine centers on master of the occult John Constantine (Matt Ryan), who struggles with his faith as he is haunted by the sins of his past and is suddenly thrust into the role of defending humanity from the gathering forces of darkness.

The "Constantine" pilot is executive produced by Daniel Cerone ("The Mentalist," "Dexter") and David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight films, Man of Steel). Neil Marshall (The Descent, "Game of Thrones") is directing from a teleplay by Daniel Cerone with story by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer. "Constantine" is from Bonanza Productions Inc. in association with Warner Bros. Television and is based upon characters published by DC Entertainment.

"Constantine" airs Fridays at 10p.m. starting October 24 on NBC.
