Ash vs. Evil Dead had a slamming, lunatic first season, bringing Sam Raimi's EVIL DEAD world back to the world in rip-roaring fashion. From the looks of it, next season will be even crazier because the cast is growing by two. And not just any two...
Golden Globe-nominee Lee Majors will be taking on the role of Ash's father (appearing for the first time in the franchise). He will be joined by Sam Raimi's brother Ted Raimi (in the role of Ash's childhood best friend).
Ted has a history of appearing in his brother's works (as well as flicks like SHOCKER and INTRUDER), so it was only a matter of time before he appeared, but Lee Majors is a major get. Star of the 70's TV series The Six Million Dollar Man, Majors has a venerable history on the silver screen. It will be exciting to see what these two bring to the zany energy of this landmark revival series!
In Ash vs. Evil Dead:
Ash has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead until a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind and Ash becomes mankind's only hope.
Ash vs. Evil Dead stars Bruce Campbell, Lucy Lawless, Mimi Rogers, Ray Santiago, and Jill Marie Jones. Season 2 will be coming later this year.
