Lee’s Addicted to Gellar

I don’t think it could be a true year at the movies without having Sarah Michelle Gellar star in a ‘supernatural thriller’- this year we get to see her a little bit in THE GRUDGE 2, and even more in THE RETURN, and next year we get another one called ADDICTED, which starts shooting later this month.

Not that I’m complaining, as Gellar’s a total robo-babe, and ever since starring in the 90s slasher flicks I KNOW… and SCREAM 2, she’s been this generations ‘Scream Queen’- so it’s always a pleasure to see her grace the screen and stretch those vocal cords.

But to the point. Lee Pace (above) just signed on to star opposite Gellar in ADDICTED, which tells the story of a woman whose husband and brother-in-law end up in a coma; when the brother-in-law awakes, he insists he is her husband. Talk about f*cked up! The flick’s loosely based on the 2002 South Korean flick JUNGDOK, with Swedish film director’s Joel Bergvall and Simon Sandquist at the helm.

While I may have my doubts on THE RETURN, I must say that ADDICTED sounds like a fun ride, and will likely mess with one’s head ala THE JACKET. I can’t wait! As filming is only about to begin, I’d expect to see ADDICTED in theaters around this time next year, so stick around as more info. on this flick begins to surface!
