Legendary Pictures and the Dowdle Brothers to bring us As Above, So Below

John and Drew Dowdle – the duo behind QUARANTINE, DEVIL and the still-unreleased THE POUGHKEEPSIE TAPES – have been tapped to set up the microbudget thriller AS ABOVE, SO BELOW for Legendary Pictures, with John directing and Drew producing the film based on a screenplay co-written by the duo, according to Variety.

Sources say the film would be set in the $5-10 million range, which stretches the boundaries of what constitutes a micro-budget picture, a term popularized for films in the under-$1 million budget range. Partrick Aiello is also producing with Legendary Pictures. Alex Hedlund will oversee for Legendary.
