Horror fans who like films about killer clowns have no shortage of movies to choose from, and there seems to be new killer clown flicks going into production all the time. Next month, the evil clown Pennywise will be returning to screens in a new adaptation of Stephen King's IT, and the same day, September 8th, Christopher Douglas-Olen Ray's CIRCUS KANE will be hitting VOD.

If IT and CIRCUS KANE leave you wanting more fresh killer clown action, you only have to wait four more days – on September 12th, High Octane Pictures will be giving a VOD release to writer/director Aaron Mirtes' CLOWNTERGEIST.

As you might have guessed, the pitch description for CLOWNTERGEIST is "POLTERGEIST meets IT".

The film tells the following story:

Emma, a college student with a crippling fear of clowns, must come face to face with her worst fear when an evil spirit in the body of a clown is summoned terrorizing the town she calls home. One by one Emma and her friends receive a balloon with the exact time and date of when it will appear to kill them written on it. After receiving her balloon, Emma realizes that she has two days left to live, and must fight against the clock to find a way to survive.

Tom Seidman, Burt Culver, and Brittany Belland star.

The trailer, along with the poster, can be seen below, and it looks like CLOWNTERGEIST could provide some fun. I might need to check this out when it reaches VOD in five weeks.
