Lily Collins brings anarchy to Bong Joon-ho’s Okja

Last Updated on July 31, 2021

Lily Collins was kidnapped by vampires in PRIEST and fought demons in THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS: CITY OF BONES, now she's set to encounter a monster in OKJA, from THE HOST director Bong Joon-ho.

Produced by Netflix, Lewis Pictures, and Brad Pitt's Plan B Entertainment, OKJA is shrouded in secrecy but Bong has said that it involves

a bulky animal with a mild and kind spirit who strikes up a warm friendship with a young Korean girl. Together, they set out on a bizarre journey through a crazy world.

Collins will play a character named Red, an anarchist and higher ranked member of the ALF. She will co-star with Jake Gyllenhaal, Tilda Swinton, and Kelly Macdonald. Bill Nighy was previously attached to the project but had to drop out. Paul Dano has been offered a role and is waiting to see if he can fit it into his schedule.

I wasn't as enamored with THE HOST as many genre fans were, including The Arrow, but I'll definitely be giving OKJA a look when it's released.
