Lionsgate/Summit picks up You’ll Be The Death of Me

According to deadline, In a low six-figure deal, Lionsgate/Summit has bought Mark Hammer’s slasher/comedy spec YOU’LL BE THE DEATH OF ME. Mark Hammer’s work will be produced by the same people behind the zom-com WARM BODIES which found solid success at the box office when it raked in over $110 million worldwide.

Here’s what the plot looks like:

Nothing can spoil falling in love in New York City, but a masked knife-wielding psychopath hell bent on keeping you single can certainly make falling in love more difficult.

Right now we don’t know any other details but it sounds like this project might be getting fast tracked to the big screen so we could be getting some juicy details sooner rather than later so be sure to stick around for all that good stuff. YOU’LL BE THE DEATH OF ME sounds like it could be a lot of fun and I like the whole slasher-comedy angle of it. At the very least, it sounds pretty damn interesting!
