And the rich get richer...

"Lost" writer and all around Hollywood power player Damon Lidelof (seen right) has just inked a 7-figure deal to bring an epic sci-fi movie called 1952 to Disney.

No details have been culled, but it seems Lindelof will both write and produce 1952 as a possible multiplatform project that extends beyond cinema. Your guess is as good as mine when it comes to the title connotation...is it simply the time in which the film events take place or a subtle reference to "Lost"?

After starting his career writing for "Nash Bridges" in the mid-90s, Lindelof has gone on to write and produce "Crossing Jordan," "Lost," as well upcoming feature films COWBOYS & ALIENS, PROMETHEUS and STAR TREK 2 (currently untitled).

As always, we'll be sure to keep you in the loop on 1952 every step of the way.

COWBOYS & ALIENS star Olivia Wilde!

Extra Tidbit: What do you think of Lindelof's resume? Enough to get excited about 1952?

Just an idea

Historically speaking in 1952 a smog enveloped london that resulted in 12,000 deaths. A lot could be done with this from a sci fi angel. A remake of the smog monster?
