One show we don't know much about plot-wise but are certainly intrigued by is the upcoming CBS summer series "Extant", which stars the ever-beautiful Halle Berry as an astronaut (Berry) who has returned to her family after a year in space who soon experiences events that could change the course of human history. While the teasers we've seen so far haven't really revealed much about the show, we've seen an impressive list of actors and actresses sign on to star, including Goran Visnjic, Grace Gummer, Camryn Manheim and Michael O'Neill. Now we've learned that an Oscar, Golden Globe and Emmy Award-winning actor is set to join the cast.
TVGuide is reporting that AN OFFICER AND A GENTLEMAN and ENEMY MINE actor and living legend Louis Gossett Jr. has been tapped to play the father of Halle Berry's female astronaut character in "Extant", joining the series for at least two episodes, starting with episode 4.
