PREDATORS' only saving grace is that Rodriguez is on board as producer. Hopefully he'll slap some sense into Antal. Speaking of which, actor Louis Ozawa Changchien recently sat down with Gigazine.net to chat about his role in PREDATORS, and you know what? His role sounds pretty damn cool, as he's one of the dudes abducted by Predators and forced to survive on the Predator's home planet. Check out some excerpts:
He's basically a mean yakuza. A yakuza abducted by the Predators. Very much feared and very skilled. Excellent gun man and also competent with a sword.
Guns? Swords? Yakuza? Sounds pimpin' to me. Wait--swords??? I have no idea how swords would fit in, but I can't wait to find out!
Changchien also chatted about the revelation of Laurence Fishburne as part of the cast, though spills some b.s. about his reaction to when he found out it became official. Read on to see what I mean.
There were many rumors at first, like it will be Bruce Willis, Jean-Claude Van Damme, or even Arnold Schwarzenegger, but I'm glad Laurence was cast in the end.
I don't give a f*ck who you are, if names like Willis, JCVD, and Schwarzenegger are being thrown around as possible stars and it ends up being Larry Fishburne, you're gonna be disappointed. If it were me, I'd be so disappointed I'd probably binge drink for a solid weak and live in a tub of lard, stewing in my own sorrows. Screw that, I'd go as far as saying I'd be depressed. Not that Fishburne isn't awesome, but compared to those other names, he's not even in the same league (to me, at least).
