Magnet loving!

Last Updated on July 27, 2021

Since Lionsgate is, for lack of a better term, b*tching out when it comes to indie horror flicks, we need another studio to step up and put their blood and guts on the line. Magnolia Pictures seem to be picking up that torch via their Magnet Releasing banner.

We’ve been hearing Magnet’s name tossed around a few times a month ever since they were created, and now we’ve got a huge update for you all coming from The Hollywood Reporter. Apparently Magnolia, through Magnet, will be giving us a Six Shooter Film Series. I’m getting an ‘After Dark Horrorfest’ feeling here… except twenty times better.

Why so much better? Well Magnet have announced the six movies they’ll be releasing and four of the flicks are movies we’ve been reporting on regularly here at AITH. And all four flicks are scoring some major positive buzz. The four movies I’m talking about are: LET THE RIGHT ONE IN, LOS CRONOCRIMENES (TIMECRIMES), EDEN LOG, and DONKEY PUNCH.

So as you can see… this Six Shooter is looking awesome already! The other two flicks joining the party will be DAI-NIPPONJIN (BIG MAN JAPAN) and SPECIAL.
Magnolia are looking at the Six Shooter Film Series as a touch and go type of deal. Each flick will open for at least a week, then they’ll be extended depending on their box office success. Also, Magnolia have some major interest on doing more Six Shooter series’ if this one catches on.

I’ve compiled a conveinent little list below for you all about the six flicks that make up this Six Shooter series. You’ve got banners, trailers, and basic information for all six movies, plus the dates Magnet will be releasing them! So go ahead and scroll away to update yourself on all six movies… See what I mean about BIG MAN JAPAN possibly being absolutely brilliant?
