Mary Elizabeth Winstead, not Robin McLeavy, cast in Abe Lincoln: Vamp Hunter

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

Just a few days ago we heard the rumor that THE LOVED ONES star Robin McLeavy had nabbed the role of Mary Todd in ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER. Turns out that was premature, because now Variety is reporting that Mary Elizabeth Winstead – star of SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD and the upcoming THING prequel – will be the lass playing Lincoln’s wife. There can never be enough Mary Elizabeth in our lives as far as I’m concerned, so I’m down!

Winstead joins the already-cast Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper and Anthony Mackie in the fantasy-action-horror flick, which seen Walker playing the 16th American President who doubles as a vampire slayer. Shooting is about to get underway in Louisiana.

Timur Bekmambetov will direct the film, which based on a book by Seth Grahame-Smith, who wrote the screenplay as well. tim Burton is producing. It has a JUNE 22, 2012 release in its sights.
