It seems that Mel Gibson's comeback is in full swing with LETHAL WEAPON 5 planned over at WB, and today we have news the once blacklisted actor has a badass new action film in the works.
The flick is called BOSS LEVEL and is set to co-star Frank Grillo as a cop caught in a time-loop of murder and mystery ala HAPPY DEATH DAY and GROUNDHOG DAY.
The film will be written and directed by Joe Carnahan (THE GREY) and is set to begin filming next year.

BOSS LEVEL synopsis:
Every day, a retired special forces veteran (Grillo) is trapped in a never-ending loop resulting in his death. In order to stop his endless suffering, he must figure out who is responsible and stop them.
BOSS LEVEL is written and directed by Joe Carnahan and will star Frank Grill and Mel Gibson. The film is produced by Lorenzo di Bonaventura and Mark Vahradian, and Randall Emmett and George Furla.
