Milla Jovovich thriller Faces in the Crowd begins shooting, adds cast

Last Updated on July 23, 2021

Last time we updated you on the Milla Jovovich thriller FACES IN THE CROWD, it was to bring you a really cheesy promo trailer that used clips from other movies to demonstrate its premise (not unlike the poster to the right). But now the film is actually shooting, which we learn via a press release that also announces the other actors that have joined the Canadian production.

FACES IN THE CROWD chronicles the account of elementary school teacher Anna Marchant (Milla Jovovich), who is attacked by a serial killer known only as Tearjerk Jack and survives, but is left to struggle with a neurological disorder commonly referred to as face-blindness (prosopagnosia).

Only able to recognize voices, she fights to adapt to her diagnosis and the ever-changing faces of those around her. Working with Detective Kerrest (Julian McMahon), Anna races to identify her attacker. All the while the killer is closing in, determined to eliminate this potential witness. Only Anna has seen his face – and he could be anyone.

Michael Shanks (STARGATE, 24), David Atrakchi (TRANSPORTER 3), Sarah Wayne Callies (“Prison Break”), and Marianne Faithful all join Jovovich and McMahon. Filming began last weekend in Winnipeg, and is scheduled to wrap in June. Julien Magnat is directing from his own script.

It should also be noted that it’s one of those Saskatchewan-Manitoba interprovincial Canada-France co-productions… Yeah, I know.
