More behind the scenes shots from R.I.P.D. show us Ryan Reynolds & his gun

10.06.2011by: Jared Pacheco
One genre flick with loads of potential is Robert Schwentke's R.I.P.D.. My only concern with this one is it's looking like the 'Hollywood' feel to it's production might hurt it a little, ya know? Perhaps they're aiming for more of a comedy spin rather than horror though... Unfortunately the behind the scenes shots we've scored a look at today don't help clear that up at all.

The folks over at Zimbio got their grubby little hands on some set shots from R.I.P.D.'s production in Boston and have decided to share the lot of them with the rest of us. Now I've gone and tossed a few shots up to the right and below but for the whole she-bang you'll want to click through on any of the pics. As you can see we've got Jeff Bridges, Marisa Miller and Ryan Reynolds with his big gun all front and present. Works for me. Get scrolling and enjoy!

Welcome to the Rest In Peace Department -- the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement "patrolling the deadbeat...reporting to one boss." Yep -- THAT boss. Nick Cruz was murdered by an unknown assailent, at the height of his personal and professional life. Now he's traded a hundred years of service to the R.I.P.D. in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him. Unfortunately his search will take him to Hell and back -- literally!

Along with Bridges, Miller (below) and Reynolds the comic adaptation is also set to star Mary-Louise Parker, Kevin Bacon, Stephanie Szostak, Mike O'Malley, Tobias Segal, Robert Knepper and James Hong. R.I.P.D. isn't set to hit theaters until June 28, 2013 so we've got well over a year to look forward to this one!

Extra Tidbit: Early in his career Ryan Reynolds was on both "The Outer Limits" and "The X-Files."
